Our New Visitor

Bully visits each evening, he's a beauty, we have become quite fond of him !

It's Mole Trapping Time

Each Spring & the moles become active, now is the time to nip them in the bud as it were ! Chris hasn't lost his touch, three consecutive nights, three moles trapped :-)

Silver Medal for Chris From World Marmalade Awards

Chris was delighted to learn that his entry into the World Marmalade Awards International category won him Silver, a marvellous achievement, his marmalade is really good & this is now proof, award winning marmalades !

A Little More Comfort

At last, a little more comfort in the lounge, it's a nice place to be !

Entrance hall progresses

Work on the front door, back door, hall, stairs & landing has progressed the doors have now been weather proofed and everything has been undercoated, it's been long haul !

New Front Door

The new front door has been hung and boxed in, Chris has today started painting and touching up, it's not been easy due to the sheer size of it.

Kitchen still Progressing

It's been a long job with Chris having to constantly break off onto other jobs, however, it's coming together, the new sink, washer & dishwasher are all plumbed in & working as is the new steam oven, microwave & coffee machine, we also have work tops & some cupboard space.

It's Hallway Time

Lots of work in the main entrance Hall is required, water leaks from the bathroom over the years have meant a new ceiling for a start, well then Chris, crack on !

Rewards from the Forest

A lovely shoulder from a 72kg Wild Boar, so lean & good for you.

Sunglasses Required

The new chandelier in the lounge is bright, believe me, it's bloody bright !

Splashes of Colour

Primroses popping up all over the garden, such a lovely splash of colour at the back end of Winter, not that we've had one this year mind !

Beautiful Sunsets

A sunset is a warming sight at the end of a busy day, almost comforting.

Hanging Chandeliers

At last, the finishing touches in the lounge, the new chandelier has the possibility to attract aero planes !

Almost ! Well No, it's Bloody a Done !

Delighted to have the lounge finished at last, well, there's a touch up here and there but it's nice to relax in comfort again !

Marmalade

Chris is making marmalade again, however, this year he is entering the International marmalade awards  at Dalemain Manor in Cumbria, he is entering the International category.

Preparing the Lounge

Next Monday will see the new wallpaper hung in the lounge, it's been a long job in preparation and it was a joy today to hang pictures & photos before the final touches are made.

Foxy Loxy

Chris was delighted to take this fox out, he won't be taking any more hens or game ! A nice Boar on the same day !
