Snakes are not always in the grass
As Chris mowed the lawns at La Petite Maison it wasn't until his 3rd pass that he realised he wasn't alone. This Viper was basking in the early morning sunshine about 12" from where his shoulder passed, no problem for him, he hooked the snake just like on the TV and deposited it back in the forest, he watched too many Tarzan films as a child ha ha !

At Last the Soil Temperature Rises
The long wait is over and Chris was delighted to be able to plant out the first of the vegetables and salads that will be served at the table of La Petite Maison. These included red & white onions, summer cabbage, kale, lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, summer leeks and petit pois, it really is wonderful watching the garden grow, ahhhh !
