Chris's trip down to the Correze proved to be a success, he arrived home at 22.00 hrs after an eight hour round trip with two new hives, six supers and three feeding stations, he managed to talk down the price (whats new with Chris) and is now busy rewiring the frames and positioning new foundation. He has burn't the inside of all the new equipment with a blow torch to kill any parasites or disease that may be present, they have all been painted with special thermopaint for winter protection.
The bees are happy in the garden, here is a picture of one of our bees full of pollen, a great sign for a successful over wintering.
